Pastor Jim is the lead pastor at Hope Christian Church. He was raised in a Christian home in Pennsylvania and has been dedicated to his faith since a young age. Jim met and married his wife, Sharon, during their teenage years. Together, they attended Zion Bible College and were blessed with three sons: Nathan, Nicholas (who was born with Cornelia DeLange Syndrome), and Joshua.
Throughout his life, Pastor Jim has been dedicated to both ministry and service. After the tragic loss of their son Nicholas, Pastor Jim and Sharon moved back to Pennsylvania to heal. During this time, Jim became licensed with the Assemblies of God and served in various roles, from youth pastor to CE director. In 2000, God called them to New England, where Jim served as the associate pastor at Seaport Community Church, transforming many lives.
In 2005, God led them to Hope Christian Church, where they have served faithfully ever since. Pastor Jim has continued his chaplaincy work, now serving with the North Haven Fire Department and Connecticut Fire Chaplains Network. His heart for both ministry and community is evident, and he and Sharon continue to seek ways to reach out and support those around them.
Above all, Jim and Sharon cherish their roles as grandparents to Evan, Bryton, and Kinsley, and they invite everyone to experience the love of Christ and a sense of belonging within the church.
Their favourite Bible passage, Psalm 77:11-12, reflects their enduring faith: "But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works."
